Learning to Fly
On Friday, May 30, 2025, a group of preschool children located all of the large hollow blocks outside and grouped them together into a pile. JB had an idea to stack three blocks on top of each other “we can make it like an obstacle course!” she explained and cheered.

Return of the Birds
On Tuesday, March 11, a group of preschool children travelled to the ponds with an inquiry in mind- will there be ice or water at the pond? Along the way we speculated about the possibility of there still being ice as there was still snow on the ground, but also there could be water as the sun was shining.

Pumpkins & Gourds
On Thursday, September 27 a group of children made a trip to Farm Boy to purchase some pumpkins and gourds for the childcare. The staff and children talked about bringing the wagon along because they knew the pumpkins were going to be very heavy and they wanted to fill up the wagon with as many as they could.

A Winter Forest
One snowy morning a group of children took a walk to the forest to see the changes that happened over the weekend! There was lots of snow on the ground and the children wanted to go explore the forest in its winter state.

The Pumpkin Adventure
On a Monday morning a group of toddlers went on an adventure to buy some pumpkins for the child care. We brought along a wagon because the children wanted to buy many to share with the other classrooms.

In The Rain
Engaging with our environment in all types of weather is a crucial part of understanding how the world works. Children spend time outdoors in all types weather- hot, cold, rain, snow, sun, cloud, etc as each weather pattern opens up immense opportunities for learning.
